there's a poem for everything. my favourites are on Love, Work, and Farewell.

perspective-bending. can be a bit dark, but overall feels like a deep gratitude for the little things often overlooked. my favourite is Mirrors.

it's funny and sad and incredibly reassuring. if you haven't seen them, both Bojack Horseman and Long Story Short are animated shows by the writer which are also very good.

it's long, it's classic, it's COMPLETELY ENGROSSING. if you're not much of a classics reader (I am not), the prose takes a bit to adjust to, but you'll forget it about it and soon be 300 pages in.

my favourite from the discworld series. this one is about Death getting fired from his job. if you're new to Terry Pratchett, all of his books are very funny and also incredibly thoughtful.
